Carpenter

A carpenter is a skilled tradesperson who specializes in constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood and other materials. They use a variety of tools, including hand tools and power tools, to measure, cut, shape, and join wood and other materials. Carpenters may work on a variety of projects, such as building and installing cabinets, framing houses, constructing and installing trim and molding, and creating custom furniture. Carpenters may also be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, calculating materials and costs, and working with clients to discuss and plan projects. In order to become a carpenter, it is generally necessary to complete a formal apprenticeship program or attend a technical school.
