CTIA Requirements

In general, the entry requirements for tertiary education in South Africa depend on the institution, program, and level of study. Some typical requirements may include:

  • National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent with a minimum pass rate of 50-60%
  • Specific subject requirements for the program of study, such as mathematics or physical sciences for science and engineering programs
  • Proficiency in English language, demonstrated through a minimum score on standardized English language tests like TOEFL or IELTS
  • Completion of a specific preparatory program or bridging course, if required

Some of Chefs Training and Innovation Academy (CTIA) specific requirements are as seen below.

All programmes require a R1 000 application fee (non-refundable). The proof of payment must be sent to the Career Consultant at the Campus with the completed application form. This fee will place the student’s name on our list for that specific programme. A provisional acceptance, student loan or VISA acceptance letter will then be sent out which can also be used should the student wish to apply for funding from a financial or other institution, student visa, etc.

All programmes require a deposit payment. The first deposit payment (acceptance deposit) must be paid within 30 – 60 days of acceptance (prior the student commencing with his/her programme) or as alternatively arranged with the Career Consultant. The first payment made towards the deposit will automatically guarantee the student’s seat. The second deposit payment (enrolment deposit) must be paid to qualify for any discounts or enrolment specials.

Foreign applicants wishing to enrol at CTIA need to apply for a student visa through their respective embassies. Prospective students are to complete the application process in order to receive the necessary documentation to be submitted to their embassy or Department of Internal Affairs.

Students who have completed certain components of studies at other accredited institutions, may apply to transfer their credits to CTIA, and apply these towards their chosen programme.

You can get more detailed information by reaching out to the institution. If you have specific questions or need assistance, it’s best to contact the appropriate department or individual directly. The college’s website or admissions office can provide you with more information about who to contact and how to reach them.
