UNIVEN Courses and Entry Requirements

The University of Venda, situated in Thohoyandou, operates from its main campus, hosting four faculties, each presenting a diverse array of programs.

1. Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Agriculture:

  • Offers programs such as Food Science and Technology, Animal Science, Plant and Soil Sciences, and more.

2. Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education:

  • Provides courses like African Languages, Arts and Social Sciences, Early Childhood Education, and others.

  • Applicants must hold a National Senior Certificate (NSC) certified by Umalusi.
  • Achievement ratings of 4 (50-59%) or better for degree programs and 3 (40-49%) or better for diploma programs in four recognized 20-credit NSC subjects are necessary.
